Hello , שלום , _سلام, _ஹலோ, สวัสดี, 你好, नमस्ते, হ্যালো, હેલ્લો, 안녕하세요, こんにちは, مرحبا...
Labyrinto.be is a tool for personal development, on which you regularly find new posts in chronological order on the blog; in alphabetical order on the index page; also searchable by keyword and per season.
The central theme of the website is the labyrinth,
a meaningful spiritual tool, not the maze in which
you get confounded. Bon voyage.
“No one is born hating another person because of
the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion.
People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate,
they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally
to the human heart than its opposite.”
Nelson Mandela, Long Walk To Freedom.
in a Nutshell
This Winter saw Ravi Shankar pass away.
Vienna's Philharmonic Orchestra shines on, but... Reflections on the death penalty, on the horse meat scandal and on a brave resistant called Stephane Hessel. The short story of St. Andrew's Church of Scotland in Ixelles, Belgium. A closer look at the Ghent Altarpiece. Retreating in London, Brussels architecture, World Radio Day… This was Labyrinto's Winter 2012/13.
During Spring, Labyrinto felt free and traveled mentally to Bangladesh, Greece, the Belgian Ardennes and the city of Mons, Caldey Abbey in Wales and last but not least: Jerusalem. Lab. strolled along botanical paintings, Roger Raveel's paintings and a few botanic gardens. Labirinto tested Taekwon-Do, went to a street-party with neigh-bours and listened to the Queen Elisabeth of Belgium Competition for piano. All of this during Spring 2013.
Labyrinto looked at rare flowers and worked out tips reducing carbon footprint. Labyrinto was appalled by recurrent violence against women. Labyrinto traveled clockwise while surrealist painter Magritte flew to New York, a mathematician calculated fractals and Amedeo Modigliani's portraits were brought under the spotlight. Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela both have a place of honour in the short list of Summer blogs. It was a season unlike any other one. We have ventured into a strange land in the Summer of 2013...
Articles in French and Dutch appeared for the first time on Labyrinto. Reports about two exhibitions, one film, a career at a public broadcasting company. The sound of the hummingbird, ecumenical praises, a house that was sold and new insights about food all contributed to turn another page in the Autumn of 2013. A world class hero was finally put to rest, the Lion of Africa, Nelson Mandela, about whom I had written a column this Summer. Hark! The herald angels sing glory to the new-born King...
May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord,
my Rock and my Redeemer.
Psalm 19 for the Director of Music.
A psalm of David. NIV.
My heart is steadfast, O God,
my heart is steadfast,
I will sing and make music.
Awake, my soul!
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
Psalm 57. NIV.
Labyrinto got started on 1st January 2013 via Weebly software.
Labyrinto.be kicked off on 5th June 2013. Life's a labyrinth. Let's walk in the Light. May peace supersede violence, may light drive out darkness, may Truth overcome falsehood, may Love replace hatred.
Peace unto you, peace unto all.
